They all qualified to become registered Osteokinaesthetic Practitioners with the Bermuda Osteopathy Association. BOA welcomes our newest practitioners to the wonderful field of Osteopathy!

This week is World Osteopathic Healthcare Week (WOHW) which brings together the global community of osteopaths and osteopathic physicians to celebrate our shared philosophy of mind-body-spirit, and to educate patients, the public, and regulatory authorities about osteopathic care.
This year’s theme centers around educating stakeholders about the distinctive osteopathic profession, which is increasingly gaining recognition and regulation around the world and helping countless patients lead better, healthier lives. The Bermuda Osteopathy Association [BOA] salutes the vision of the Osteopathic International Alliance which is to ensure that every person worldwide has access to high quality osteopathic healthcare. BOA is pleased to announce the expansion of osteopathic care professionals in Bermuda! The categories are :
1. Registered Osteopaths (Master's degree or higher clinicians) 2. Osteopathic Manual Therapists Registered (Level One) (Associate degree clinicians) 3. Osteokinaesthetic Practitioner Registered CCC (Diploma clinicians with dual qualifications in other health fields) ** newest category** An osteokinaesthetic practitioner [OP] is a licensed health professional, esthetician, holistic therapist, or massage therapist who combines specific osteopathic techniques with holistic aesthetics and other complementary modalities to address cranial-facial conditions in order to promote healing and overall balance of the body.1 The OP uses clinical reasoning skills to select appropriate treatments to address, cranial-facial conditions such as acne, dry skin, oily skin, swelling, blocked lymphatic drainage, headaches, TMJ disorders, ptosis, Bell’s Palsy, chronic neck pain, chronic stress, burnout, etc. Specific treatments include combining osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue therapy, myofascial release technique, muscle energy techniques, balanced ligamentous tension technique, and lymphatic drainage techniques with complementary therapeutic techniques such as aromatherapy, reflexology, kinesiology, neurolinguistics, and acupressure. The Examining Board of the Bermuda Osteopathy Association [BOA] is pleased to announce that Nattaporn Jutharlee, Nongnuch Manajit, Nattida Pannok, and Kulab Prapawesang were successful in passing the organization’s level one osteopathic manual therapist registered board exam that was sat on Monday July 3rd, 2023.
Dr. Barbara Holder, BOA Registrar stated that the exam, which is offered three times per year, is a requirement for joining the organization as a professional member. “European-style Osteopathy is a self-regulated complementary health profession in Bermuda” she said. “Its popularity and level of awareness has steadily progressed over the last decade. The Bermuda Osteopathy Association is committed to expanding safe osteopathic care within our community.” The results were released in three (3) working days from the day of examination.
